Man arrested for murder after driveway shooting in SW Houston

A suspect has been arrested after a man was found shot dead in a driveway in southwest Houston last week.

Marlon Weatherspoon, 30, has now officially been charged with murder in the 495th State District Court.

The incident took place at about 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 26 at 4131 Wuthering Heights Dr. in the Bentwood West neighborhood.

Houston Police Department patrol officers were alerted to a shooting in the area. When they arrived at the scene, they found 34-year-old Brandon Davis with multiple gunshot wounds lying in the driveway. First responders pronounced Davis dead at the scene.

After the charges were filed, Weatherspoon turned himself in without incident on Saturday, Nov. 30.
