SEE PHOTOS: HFD officials rescue chihuahua trapped bridge footing in bayou

HOUSTON – A small chihuahua found herself in a sticky situation last week. Luckily, Houston-area first responders were able to save the day!

On Friday, Nov. 29, staff members at the Houston Botanic Garden noticed a small dog stuck on one of the footings of a bridge over Sims Bayou. They alerted authorities with Houston Fire Department stations 39 and 42, who were able to quickly get to the area and save the small pup.

After being rescued, the Houston Botanic Garden reached out to the public for information surrounding the dog’s owner. A short time later, it was reported that the dog was reunited with her owner.
