JACINTO CITY, Texas – A man is behind bars after a stabbing incident left his wife and another man dead, according to the Jacinto City Police Department.
Jesse Leal Sr. has been charged with capital murder for the stabbing death of his wife, Stephanie Leal, and Randall Pannell jr.

What happened
On Nov. 29, police officers were called at 9:52 p.m. to a home, located in the 10300 block of Flaxman Street, in regards of a stabbing.
At the residence, police found Stephanie and Randall suffering from multiple stab wounds. Randall was pronounced dead at the scene and Stephanie was rushed to Ben Taub hospital in critical condition where she was pronounced dead.
The suspect had left the scene before officers arrived but after a few leads, Jesse was located and taken into custody in the 16000 block of Wallisville Road. He was captured by a Jacinto City detective, with the assistance of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and Harris County Constable’s Pct. 3.
During an interview with detectives, Jessie admitted to stabbing Stephanie and then fatally stabbing Randall who tried to step in to protect Stephanie.
Police said the assault happened in front of four of Stephanie’s five children, leaving the family devastated.
