14-year-old arrested following stolen vehicle chase and crash in Harris County

A 14-year-old is facing charges after leading deputies on a short pursuit of a stolen vehicle in northeast Harris County.

The teenager is facing charges of evading arrest in a motor vehicle and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

The incident happened in the 3800 block of Atascocita Road on November 27. Deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s office say they tried to pull over a vehicle, but the driver refused to stop, triggering a brief chase.

OTHER CRIME: Woman snags keys, steals car from tax office in Montgomery County

The pursuit ended when the driver lost control and crashed. Deputies quickly arrested the teenager.

The 14-year-old was taken into custody and later released to a guardian.
