Suspect vehicle linked to fatal North Houston hit-and-run located by police (Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4)

A deadly hit-and-run crash involving a bicyclist has prompted a heavy police presence at the intersection of Airtex Drive and Brundage Drive early Wednesday morning.

According to authorities, a driver hit a cyclist and fled the scene. EMS personnel responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the location. His identity has not yet been released.

UPDATE: Constables announced they have located the suspect vehicle in the Timber Crossing neighborhood near Willow Briar Drive and Bayberry Meadows Lane. The SUV was found running but unoccupied. Authorities are continuing their investigation at the scene.

Deputies with the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office were actively searching for the suspect vehicle, described as a black SUV with front-end damage.

All lanes at the intersection of Airtex Drive and Brundage Drive are currently closed as authorities continue their investigation. Drivers are urged to avoid the area, use alternate routes, or expect significant delays.
