Gunman arrested after firing weapon on METRO Bus in Sharpstown

Police are investigating a shooting aboard a METRO bus early Wednesday morning in Sharpstown.

Authorities confirmed the incident occurred on METRO bus 1828 near South Gessner and Bellaire Boulevard at approximately 7:41 a.m.

According to METRO, a weapon was fired inside the bus, but no injuries were reported. The suspect involved in the incident is now in custody. METRO PD Chief Ban Tien was unable to give too many details as officers were still in the preliminary stages of their investigation.

Chief Tien also said as part of the investigation, officials will be looking into surveillance videos and talking to witnesses to figure out what happened. It’s unclear what charges the gunman will be facing, as of this writing.
