According to sources, Hutson had no one else to care for her daughter on this particular day, so she brought her along.
The family grew up in Waller, where Hutson began her lifelong commitment to serving others as a volunteer firefighter. She rose to the rank of captain, embodying leadership and determination from a young age.
Those who knew Hutson describe her as someone who made things happen the best way she could—whether as a mom to her two children, a deputy, a fire captain, or a teacher.
Attendance at today’s service was limited to family, close friends, first responders, and county officials.
