PASADENA, Texas – A man is behind bars Thursday night after Pasadena police say he shot a woman and the gun was found near a Pizza Hut.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. on Fairmont Parkway off East Sam Houston Parkway. Investigators are unsure what led up to the shooting, but when officers arrived, they found an unidentified woman shot in the chest.

She was rushed to a hospital via Life Flight and at last check, was in surgery. It’s unclear what led up to the shooting, but police believe the gunman and the woman may be in some type of relationship.

The gunman has also not been identified, as of this writing, but police said he was found and surrendered to cops at a nearby location. His gun was also found near a Pizza Hut.

No additional details were shared, so it’s unclear what charges the gunman will face, but an investigation into what happened is underway.
