Authorities have arrested Anthony Ray Boyce, 57, in connection with a brutal attack on 80-year-old Earl Hollins. It happened on Friday afternoon at the 1400 block of West FM 1960 in north Harris County.
According to court documents, Boyce struck Hollins over a parking spot at the Food Town grocery store.

From aggravated robbery to assault
At first, the call to deputies dropped as an aggravated robbery around 2 p.m. However, investigators quickly discovered that nothing was taken from the victim.
It turns out that Boyce and Hollins were familiar with each other and were frequent visitors to the store, according to witnesses.
A sudden confrontation
Sgt. Jeff Thomas explained that video footage showed no signs that a confrontation was about to happen. After the assault, Boyce left the scene in a maroon Ford F150 with tan or white running boards.

Victim’s condition
Hollins was flown from Houston Northwest Medical Center to Kingwood Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Authorities are continuing to investigate what led to this altercation.
