A hit-and-run crash in southwest Houston claimed the life of a woman early Friday morning, with police initially reporting the victim as a child.
The incident happened around 6:45 a.m. in the 9200 block of Westpark Drive near Fondren Road.

According to the Houston Police Department, the call initially came in as a report of a child, found unresponsive in the street.
