FIFTH WARD – Have you seen 36-year-old Dionne Williams? Her family fears something horrible may have happened to her, because she hasn’t contacted anyone in months.
Still, her family refuses to give up hope that one day she’ll come home.
“We got very concerned when we did not see her for Mother’s Day. She would never miss Mother’s Day,” said Williams’ mother, Melissa Cashaw.
Mother’s Day came and went, along with other holidays and special occasions. Williams, 36, is still missing.
“We need answers,” the family said.
Williams family says their 5-foot-2, medium built, dark-complected loved one was last seen in Fifth Ward back in April.
“She said she had met a rapper and that he lived in the Fifth Ward area, not far from Cavalcade and Hoffman and that’s the last time I spoke with her,” Cashaw said.
Now, more than eight months after Williams vanished, most of the posters her family originally put up have also disappeared, but their concerns and fears have grown more prevalent.
“With every moment what’s the fear that you have in your heart and your mind?” KPRC 2′s Deven Clarke asked.
“That someone has killed her,” Cashaw responded.
“If you could talk to the person who did something to her or knows where she is, what would be your message for them?” Clarke asked.
“Please turn yourself in, have mercy, we forgive you,” Cashaw responded.
Houston police told KPRC 2 that this is still an active and open missing person’s case.
If anyone out there knows where Dionne Williams is, you’re asked to call the Houston Police Department’s Missing Person’s Unit, at 832-394-1840.
