A Fulshear man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly setting his home on fire with his three children inside.
The November blaze left four injured, including the suspect and a toddler rescued by heroic officers.

Pedro Luis Parra Pulgar, 46, has been charged with three counts of attempted murder after authorities alleged he intentionally set a house fire in Fulshear’s Polo Ranch community while his three children were inside.

What happened?
The incident happened on Nov. 6 when neighbors reported flames at a home on El Dorado Boulevard at approximately 9:52 a.m.
First responders, including the Fulshear Fire Department and Fulshear Police, quickly arrived on the scene.
Two children managed to escape the fire with minor injuries.
However, a three-year-old remained trapped inside until officers, hearing faint sounds from the home, entered through a bedroom window and rescued the toddler.
The child, suffering from severe smoke inhalation, was airlifted to a hospital for treatment and has since been released.
Pulgar, who sustained serious injuries during the fire, was released from the hospital on Dec. 12, 2024, and transferred to the Fort Bend County Jail. He now faces three counts of attempted murder, with bond set at $750,000 for each charge, totaling $2.25 million.
The Fort Bend County Fire Marshal’s Office and Fulshear Police are continuing their investigation.
