Houston police are asking for help identifying two suspects in the deadly shooting of a woman at a convenience store on Lockwood Drive Friday evening.

Routine stop turns deadly
This tragic incident happened just before 6 p.m. at a Rand Food Store located at 4718 Lockwood.
A 45-year-old woman, whose identity is still being verified, was sitting in the driver’s seat of her car when she was shot.
According to investigators, the woman and her husband had pulled into the parking lot with two other family members in the back seat.

The husband went into the store but was asked to leave by an employee. When he returned to the car and they started to drive off, an unidentified man fired several shots into the vehicle.
Driver killed, others escape without injury
The woman, in the driver’s seat, was hit. The car rolled a short distance before coming to a stop.
Police say her husband jumped out and ran, but a second man began firing at him. The husband wasn’t injured, nor were the two family members in the back seat.
The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital but, didn’t survive her injuries.
Police release surveillance photos of suspects
Both suspects took off on foot. Police have released surveillance photos of the men in the hope that someone can identify them and come forward.
