HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says SWAT units as well as a Crisis Intervention Response Team responded to a west Harris County apartment complex after a woman allegedly threatened neighbors with a machete.

The sheriff’s office says the scene happened at 2031 Westborough Drive in the Katy area.

According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, a woman at the apartment complex allegedly threatened neighbors with a machete. Gonzalez says the woman may possibly be in crisis.

Gonzalez says the woman refused to come out of an apartment, but has since been detained.
