A deadly crash at the Killeen Mall Saturday evening left one person dead and five others injured.
Authorities say a driver, who was being chased by police, crashed into the mall, causing the injuries.

Driver crashes through mall entrance
Police say the chase started around 8 p.m. when the Department of Public Safety got reports of a driver in a black pick-up truck driving erratically in Temple. A state trooper spotted the truck on I-14, and a pursuit began. The driver eventually crashed through the south entrance of the Killeen Mall near JCPenney, injuring five people, who were taken to local hospitals.

Killeen police confirmed the suspect is dead. It’s unclear what his cause of death was. The area was secured, and authorities confirmed there was no ongoing danger.
Local officials reassured the public that there was no active shooter at the mall. Police, fire, and emergency responders were on the scene, urging people to stay clear while they investigated.
