HOUSTON – An investigation is underway after four people were shot, one fatally at a bar in north Harris County.
Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to the shooting at an alleged unlicensed, after-hours bar located at a warehouse near Mitchell Road and Airline Drive.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said several men got into an altercation, and one of the men was beaten severely. In return, the man who was beaten grabbed a gun and started shooting, striking several people.
Four men were transported to the hospital, including the shooter, according to Gonzalez.
One of the men died at the hospital and has since been identified as 25-year-old Anthony Muniz. The remaining three men are believed to be in serious condition.
The identity of the shooter has not been released. It’s not clear what charges he will face, if any.
