Suspect arrested in Sugar Land HEB armored car theft

SUGAR LAND, Texas – Police in Sugar Land say a suspect involved in the theft from an armored car outside a HEB store earlier this month has been arrested.

Police say Bradley Richardson turned himself in and faces a felony theft charge.

The incident happened on Dec. 3 at the HEB located on University and Highway 6. Police say the armored car was parked outside of the store when a man reached inside the car and stole money.

As the suspect attempted to leave the scene, the security guard fired at least two shots, striking the front part of the suspect’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.

The suspect’s vehicle was later found and a search began for two suspects. It is unclear if the second suspect has been identified.

The investigation is still ongoing.
