According to court documents, on Dec. 13, just days before Christmas, Anderson locked her daughter in a dog cage that she placed next to a Christmas tree for several hours.
Officers said the girl’s arms were zip-tied and her mouth was duct-taped shut. It also alleges that the mother would often kick the cage while the daughter was locked inside.
The reason? Officers said Anderson was disciplining her daughter for misbehaving in school.
Anderson is currently being held in jail on a $40,000 bond.
