Damage reported in Liberty County after severe storms, tornado moves through area

LIBERTY COUNTY, Texas – Strong storms left damage behind in Liberty County Thursday.

Bonnie Parker shared a photo on Click2Pins of a tornado spotted northwest of Dayton. This was the same storm that spawned a tornado which was spotted crossing Lake Houston.

The Cypress Lakes subdivision on the banks of the Trinity River reported heavy damage from either a tornado or damaging winds.

The Allen’s home on Pine Ridge Drive was heavily damaged as two large trees came into their home.

The couple, both in their 80s, had just left the room where the tree came in. They were not hurt.

Neighbors got together to help cut the trees out of the home.

Other structures and trees in the area were also damaged.

Right now, we have not heard of any injuries.
