Safety Tips for Drivers

Here are some tips for those on the road:

  1. Avoid Overpasses: While it may seem like a safe shelter, parking under overpasses can create bottlenecks and increase the danger of collisions. If you must stop, pull over to a safe location off the roadway.
  2. Turn Around, Don’t Drown: Avoid driving through flooded areas, as even a few inches of water can sweep a vehicle off the road.
  3. Watch for Debris: High winds can scatter branches, signs, and other debris, posing additional hazards to drivers.
