The New Orleans Blood Center announced that the drive is intended to “support blood replacement and medical care for victims suffering incident-related injuries.”

Security is stationed at parking and entrance areas on Iberville Street to ensure safety.

The public is encouraged to donate blood to aid in the ongoing recovery efforts for the injured. The city of New Orleans thanked the community for their support during this difficult time.

Stay tuned as we reach out to Houston blood banks to see if there are opportunities to donate locally for the victims.
