HOUSTON – Authorities are piecing together what led up to a deadly shooting late Sunday night in north Harris County after a 19-year-old was killed and his younger brother was hospitalized.

Deputies were called to a home in the Aldine area just after 11:45 p.m. on William Tell Street off Little York.
Sgt. Richie with HCSO’s Homicide Division said an unidentified 19-year-old man and his younger brother (about 17 years old) were shot. We’re told the older brother died from his injuries, while the younger brother was rushed to a hospital and was last said to be in stable condition.

It’s unclear what led up to the shooting i.e. if it was accidental or intentional, but Sgt. Ritchie says there were at least 6 - 8 people inside the house when it happened, and everyone is cooperating with the investigation.
Our cameras spotted a young man with a brown bag wrapped around his hands; detectives say that’s to test if they have gun residue.
A firearm was recovered at the scene, but no charges were filed, as of this writing.
