Carbon monoxide poisoning (from people using their generators or running their cars in the garage) is always a concern as well, should we have a power outage. The same concern is with Hypothermia. If we should lose power or if someone is outside for long periods without proper clothes.
Dress in layers today and don’t forget your hat and gloves or if you’re like and always forget your gloves, some coats come with hand warmers.
Signs of hypothermia:
- Slurred speech
- Shallow breathing
- Weak Pulse
- Confusion
- Puffy or swollen face
- Stiff and jerky arm movements
The next big question? Will it snow in Houston? The American model is forecasting cold rain for us with the chance for snow/ wintery mix in areas north of us- like Dallas later this week.
Meteorologist Justin Stapleton will have your full forecast and I’ll be out in the elements reporting on the “feels like” temperatures as hundreds of people and students head back to work and school after the holiday season.
