New photo shows New Orleans terror attack suspect riding bike through French Quarter back in October

NEW ORLEANS, LA – The FBI has released a new photo which shows the suspect in the New Year’s terrorist attack in New Orleans riding a bike through the French Quarter earlier last year.

The photo is from Halloween, Oct. 31, 2024.

The FBI is asking for anyone who may have been in the French Quarter that day between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to call them.

The attack left 14 people dead and dozens of others injured. Jabbar was killed in a shootout with New Orleans Police.

Since the attack, the investigation has spanned back to Houston, where Jabbar lived. Federal and local law enforcement went out to Jabbar’s trailer in the northern part of Harris County.

Investigators found materials used to make explosives inside the trailer.

On Tuesday, the FBI also searched a storage unit tied to Jabbar in northwest Harris County. Inside, they found a cooler similar to the ones found in New Orleans following the attack.
