Two men are facing charges after a frightening road rage incident in northeast Harris County near Crosby Freeway and Sheldon Road.

Early Thursday morning, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says a driver reported being targeted after two men reportedly slammed on their brakes in front of his car and fired shots at him. Thankfully, no one was hit.

Police later arrested Augustine Escamilla, 29, and David Escamilla, 31, with help from the Houston Police Department. Both now face aggravated assault charges.

Gonzalez called the incident “reckless and senseless” and urged for accountability. “I hope these two are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” Gonzalez said.

He also noted that similar road rage cases have had deadly outcomes, warning drivers about the dangers of escalating tempers behind the wheel. This time, no one was hurt, but the situation serves as a reminder to stay calm and safe on the road.
