Body discovered in fountain at Texas City’s Showboat Pavilion

Texas City police are investigating after a man was found dead in a fountain at the Showboat Pavilion in Texas City early on Saturday morning. The venue hosts car shows, theater productions, and other special events.

Police responded to the scene around 7:13 a.m. and discovered the body of a 43-year-old man.

While the man’s identity has been confirmed, his name is being withheld until family members are notified. Preliminary findings suggest there were no signs of foul play, and authorities have assured the public there’s no ongoing danger.
