HOUSTON – A homicide investigation has led to the closure of the flyover ramp between the eastbound lanes of I-610 the North Loop to the northbound lanes of the Eastex Freeway.

Houston Police shared a photo on X showing a police cruiser blocking the ramp.
Lt. Larry Crowson said they responded around 6:30 p.m. after receiving a report of an unconscious man inside a pickup truck on the ramp.
They arrived and found the man dead with at least one gunshot wound.
Right now, they say there are some indications this shooting may have been a result of road rage, but they won’t know for sure until they gather more evidence.
Police haven’t been able to find any witnesses to the shooting, but there were some people who pulled over to check on the driver of the pickup truck when they discovered him unconscious.
