3 Texas cities named among most overweight, obese in the US (HINT: it’s not Houston) 😅

HOUSTON – Everything’s bigger in Texas and there’s no shade in knowing so are the people. Texans make good food and we love to feed our people, so it is what it is.

Researchers at WalletHub looked at 100 of the most populated metro areas and looked at different data ranging from physically inactive adults to projected obesity rates by 2030, to healthy food access.

The results were three Texas cities made the top 20 list and surprisingly, Houston wasn’t on it. McAllen, on the other hand, was ranked the most obese while San Antonio and El Paso were named 13th and 20th, respectively.

If you’re curious, the Space City was named 33rd between Huntsville, Alabama, and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Honolulu, Hawaii, meanwhile, was ranked the very least obese and overweight.
