Gun sale in northwest Harris County turns into robbery, 4 people shot

HOUSTON – Four people were shot late Sunday night after a meetup to buy a gun in northwest Harris County turned into a robbery.

It happened in front of an apartment complex and Bammel N Houston Road and Fallbrook Drive around 11:45 p.m. when Sgt. Wade with the Harris Co. Sheriff’s Office said there was a “social media transaction” beforehand. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez later explained on X, that there was a plan between two groups of people to buy a gun.

During the sale, Sheriff Gonzalez said gunfire was exchanged “in what appears to be a robbery.”

A total of four men were shot, but all are expected to survive. No additional information was shared, as of this writing, but an investigation remains underway.
