Pedestrian’s body dismembered on East Freeway after getting hit by several cars

HOUSTON – Investigators are looking into what caused a pedestrian to end up on the East Freeway, where they were hit by several cars Monday night.

It happened a little before 11 p.m. when Houston police said they found the unidentified pedestrian’s body dismembered on the East Freeway’s inbound lanes at Lockwood.

Witnesses told officers a group of men may have chased the pedestrian onto the freeway beforehand. The freeway was shut down for hours while HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Division worked to map the scene and conduct their investigation.
