Drivers going northbound on I-45 are instructed to use Exit 114 (FM 1374/Montgomery Road) onto the frontage road and continue through the FM 1374/Montgomery Road and Avenue S intersection. Drivers can then re-enter I-45 using the existing northbound ramp south of US 190/SH 30/11th Street.
Southbound traffic is instructed to use Exit 115 (FM 1374/Montgomery Road) onto the frontage road and re-enter I-45 via the existing southbound ramp south of Smither Drive.
Message boards and signs will be present to alert drivers of the detour. The construction is part of TxDOT’s $200 million IH-45 reconstruction project, expanding to six lanes with a concrete median. The project completion is scheduled for Fall 2027.
