Houston Black Restaurant Week is near: How you can celebrate Black business owners in the area

HOUSTON, Texas – Houston Black Restaurant Week is coming back for the ninth consecutive year.

From March 31 through April 14, discover Black-owned restaurants, food trucks, sweets, and more in Houston, Beaumont, and surrounding areas. This annual event celebrates the diverse flavors of African, African American, and Caribbean cuisines.

Warren Luckett, Falayn Ferrell, and Derek Robinson, a group of entrepreneurs, established Black Restaurant Week in 2016. They aim to collaborate with Black-owned restaurants and chefs to amplify awareness and bolster support for Black culinary professionals.
