BAYTOWN, Texas – A Goose Creek CISD student has died after officials in Baytown say another teenage student shot her at an apartment complex after an earlier altercation on a school bus.

Baytown Police say they were called around 4 p.m. to an apartment complex in the 4600 block of Village Lane after reports of a shooting.
According to preliminary information, police say two Goose Creek CISD students had been involved in an altercation on a school bus earlier in the day.
Later on, the female student was at the playground of the apartment complex when the teenage boy approached her and started shooting.
She was taken to a hospital, but was pronounced dead.
The teenage suspect was taken into custody. Detectives are gathering evidence at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
