George Foreman, heavyweight boxing champion and philanthropist, dead at 76

George Edward Foreman Sr., a native of Marshall, Texas, has died, his family announced.

The two-time heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medalist, passed away Friday surrounded by loved ones. He was 76.

Beyond his storied boxing career, Foreman was a devoted preacher, successful entrepreneur, and dedicated philanthropist. His faith guided his life, inspiring him to establish youth programs and serve his community.

A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Foreman leaves behind a legacy of resilience, generosity, and unwavering faith.

“We are grateful for the outpouring of love and prayers,” his family said in a statement. “We kindly ask for privacy as we honor his extraordinary life.”
