It happened Tuesday afternoon when officials with Harris Co. Precinct 4 said people were seen trying “to cut into an ATM machine” at a business on Memorial Chase Road near Old Louetta Road.
When officers got there, several of the burglars dispersed, some ran, and one got into a car.
Officials identified the man in the car as Jalen Lewis, 24, who they said, “accelerated towards the direction of the deputy who was securing the scene in an attempt to strike him.”
