Woman arrested for lying about child having gun after he was mad for being woken up ‘to go to school’

ATASCOCITA, Texas – Imagine that...Authorities arrested a woman for making false claims saying a boy got upset after being woken up to go to school.

There weren’t a lot of details when the report was shared by Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office on Wednesday.

They were called to Alpine Brook Lane off Will Clayton Parkway in Atascocita for the disturbance.

The caller, later identified as Monica Thompson, told officers the boy was “mad” because he was woken up “to go to school and now he has a gun in his hand.”

Naturally, officers got there as quickly as possible. However, Precinct 4 said they learned Thompson “made false claims to the emergency operator” and that “no one displayed a gun during the altercation.”

The exact details as to what transpired, were not shared, but Thompson was arrested and booked in Harris County Jail for making a false report to a police officer.
