HOUSTON – So, about that Journey concert that got canceled at the Houston Rodeo...
If you don’t remember, back in Mid-March, classic rock band, Journey, had to stop their show midway through performing their hit song “Don’t Stop Believin’.”

A concertgoer/witness told KPRC 2 the announcer came on and said it was a power outage. The witness also said the band left the stage mid-song and several people holding fire extinguishers were seen inspecting the area around the drums.
Nearly two weeks later, Rodeo officials were finally able to answer questions as to whether or not your eligible for a refund—kind of?
In short, their official statement (via their website) claims if you purchased directly from the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo or from AXS.com, you may request a refund by April 4 before midnight. It doesn’t go into detail about third party websites like StubHub or SeatGeek.

Also, oddly enough, all requests will be independently processed.
“Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used at the time of purchase,” the website statement reads. “All refund requests will be individually validated and processed. Please allow for up to 30 days after the refund request period closes to process your refund.”
In other words, the eligible refunds are optional and up to the purchaser—again, only if you’re eligible.
“For those who enjoyed the event and are not seeking a refund, you may forgo your refund and contribute the original face value of your ticket(s) to the mission of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo as we support Texas youth and education,” the statement explained. “No further action is needed if you wish to contribute the original face value of your ticket(s) to the mission of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.”
