A Houston teen is behind bars, facing multiple charges, after allegedly robbing a victim at gunpoint, forcing him to strip naked, and filming the assault before posting explicit footage online. Authorities have described the actions as “pointless, cruel and pathetic.”
Vershun Woods, 17, is facing charges related to an alleged assault that took place on March 22 in Harris County. Woods is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, invasive visual recording, and aggravated robbery.

Authorities say he forced a victim to strip at gunpoint, filmed the assault, and posted the explicit footage online.
According to court documents, the victim was targeted by Woods completely at random. Woods allegedly filmed the assault and shared the intimate images, robbing the victim not only of his belongings but also of his dignity.
According to court documents, Woods has an extensive criminal history, with ten incidents involving aggravated assault with a firearm, including offenses committed as a juvenile.
Woods was arrested on March 28, and remains in the Harris County Jail custody.
Woods also faces an additional charge of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon from a previous incident in February 2025. His bond for the robbery charge is set at $50,000.
