3 shot, another hurt in shooting at Dallas high school

DALLAS, Texas – Three students were shot and a fourth student was injured after a shooting at a Dallas high school Tuesday.

The Dallas Independent School District confirmed the shooting incident at Wilmer-Hutchins High School. The school is located off Langdon Road on the city’s southeast side.

The district said safety protocols have been implemented and the district asks parents to refrain from coming to campus at this time.

In an update, the district said the school has been secured.

Reunification of families will be made at Eagles Stadium at 5520 Langdon Road, according to the district,

A Dallas city councilman told news station NBC 5 that three students were hurt in the shooting.

The councilman told NBC 5 it appears someone let another person from outside the school in before the shooting happened.

Dallas Fire-Rescue confirmed to NBC 5 that three students were shot and a fourth student was grazed during the incident.

The injuries range from serious to non-life threatening. The students hurt range in age from 15-18 years old.

It is unclear at this time whether a suspect has been taken into custody.
