19-year-old charged with capital murder in New Year’s Eve shooting arrested in Comal County

A 19-year-old has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that happened on New Year’s Eve in Harris County.
Xavier Pipkin-Jarrell was arrested in Comal County by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Violent Criminal Apprehension Team with help from the U.S. Marshals.
Pipkin-Jarrell is charged with capital murder in the shooting death of 26-year-old Dennis Maldonado Tejeda.
Deputies were originally dispatched about 4:15 p.m. Dec. 31 to a call for service in the 16000 block of West Road, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. When they arrived, they found Maldonado Tejeda dead inside a vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds.
Pipkin-Jarrell is currently booked into the Comal County Sheriff’s Office Jail and is awaiting extradition back to Harris County.
Arrest update to New Year’s Eve Homicide:
The victim was identified as Dennis Maldonado Tejeda (26) and the suspect as Xavier Pipkin-Jarrell (11-8-06).
