Man shot, killed outside gas station in Southeast Houston

HOUSTON – Investigators were working to determine what happened before a man was shot and killed outside a convenience store in Southeast Houston.

It happened in the parking lot of the Valero on MLK Boulevard and Southlea Street at about 10 p.m. Friday.

Houston police officers found a man with gunshot wounds in the parking lot of the gas station.

He died at the scene.

Police said a person was taken into custody, but it was unclear what charges they would face.
