According to CenterPoint Energy, a third-party contractor struck a natural gas line near Jack Road and Creekland Village Drive, damaging company infrastructure.

CenterPoint said its crews responded immediately and worked alongside local authorities to secure the area and begin repairs.

The Cy-Fair Fire Department issued the shelter-in-place order out of an abundance of caution but lifted the advisory around 12 p.m.
