HOUSTON, TEXAS – A Houston man is recovering after being shot outside a corner store late Friday night — and police say they’re closing in on the woman who pulled the trigger.
It happened around 11 p.m. in front of the American AM grocery store along Bellfort Avenue near Northdale Street. Officers arrived to find the man who’d been shot.
Houston Fire Department crews rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he went into surgery. He was initially in critical condition, but doctors say his injuries are no longer life-threatening.
Investigators believe a woman at the corner store got into an argument with the victim that may have turned physical before shots were fired.
