SPRING, Texas – Harris County officials are continuing to investigate a deadly shooting at a Spring apartment complex that left two people dead, and authorities have now announced an arrest in the case.
Deputies responded Saturday to the 2500 block of FM 2920, near Spring Cypress and Ella Boulevard, where they found a man and a woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the victims have been identified as 34-year-old Estelle Camarillo and 22-year-old Junior Ruiz.

The defendant is Adrian Abreu (1-3-94).
Abreu was reportedly in a dating relationship with Estelle and may have been an acquaintance to Ruiz.

Authorities identified the suspect as Adrian Abreu, 32.
Sunday night, Sheriff Gonzalez confirmed that Abreu was in a romantic relationship with Camarillo.
Camarillo and Abreu allegedly arrived at the apartment complex together to assist a friend who had been involved in a domestic assault. When the couple arrived, a physical altercation happened between Abreu and Ruiz.
Ruiz’s role in the alleged domestic situation and the events that led to Camarillo being fatally shot remain unclear.
Abreu has been charged with manslaughter in connection with Camarillo’s death, as well as felon in possession of a weapon.
Sheriff Gonzalez said the death investigation involving Ruiz will be presented to a grand jury for review.
Abreu has since been booked into the Harris County Jail.
