Person dies after being hit by car driving along Summer Street

HOUSTON – A person has died after being hit by a car in the Washington Avenue area Wednesday morning.
The collision happened in the 2300 block of Summer Street. Houston Police Department received the report just before 9:40 a.m.
HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Division is leading the investigation, and it’s unclear if criminal charges will be filed.
Drivers and pedestrians are urged to use caution in the area as the investigation continues.
