18-year-old charged after accidental shooting leaves 19-year-old injured in Humble

HARRIS COUNTY – A teenage boy was flown to a hospital in critical condition after an apparent accidental shooting at a Humble home, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a residence in the 10700 block of Spring Brook Pass, where investigators learned an 18-year-old man may have unintentionally shot a 19-year-old man.

Life Flight transported the injured teen to a hospital, where he remains in critical condition, authorities said.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Authorities have not released the identities of those involved, and it remains unclear what led to the gun being discharged.

Deputies said the 18-year-old has since been charged with aggravated assault, but the charges could be updated if the 19-year-old dies.

The investigation is ongoing.
