Ground stops lifted at Hobby Airport and Bush Intercontinental

Both airports have had ground stops due to the rounds of heavy rainfall in our area Monday

HOUSTON – A ground stop has been lifted at Hobby Airport before the expected time of 1:45 p.m. And during the noon hour, a ground stop also ended for Bush Intercontinental Airport that was scheduled to end at 1:30 p.m.

Earlier this morning, flight delays at Bush were lasting close to 30 minutes, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

Before you head to the airport to fly or pick up anyone, you can check flight status through the Houston Airports System website.

As of 1:30 p.m., most commercial flights taking off before 2 p.m. out of Bush were delayed at least an hour.

Same story at Hobby -- most flights leaving in the next couple of hours are delayed.
