HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A toddler has died after being found unresponsive in a swimming pool in the Huffman area, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the 500 block of Lago Trace Drive after receiving a report of an unresponsive toddler in a swimming pool at around 6:10 p.m. Sunday.

The child was transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead, authorities said.
No additional details, including the toddler’s age or how the child ended up in the pool, have been released.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office described the incident as a tragedy and said detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the drowning.
“This is a tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the toddler’s family during this incredibly difficult time,” the sheriff’s office said in a social media post Sunday night.
