A maintenance worker was shot multiple times after confronting a group of young people outside an apartment complex in southeast Houston Monday, according to police.
The shooting happened shortly after midnight in the 3600 block of Old Spanish Trail.
Houston police said officers with the South Central Patrol Division responded to reports of a shooting and found a maintenance worker who had been shot multiple times.
According to investigators, the worker had earlier asked a group of people believed to be in their late teens or early 20s to leave the property. Police said the group later returned, confronted the worker, and opened fire.
The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
Police are searching for four suspects, three males and one female, who were last seen wearing dark-colored hoodies.
No arrests have been announced, and the investigation remains ongoing.
