HOUSTON – Traffic is back flowing on the westbound SH-99 Grand Parkway near Cypress Rosehill after a major crash involving an overturned 18-wheeler shut down part of the road for hours Monday, according to authorities.

The crash was reported on the westbound lanes of SH-99 at Cypress Rosehill, causing delays for hours in the area.

Officials said the crash involved a single concrete truck, and Life Flight responded to the scene.

Hazmat crews and other first responders also arrived at the scene, where crews began cleanup.

Drivers were urged to avoid the area and find an alternate route until lanes were reopened.
